Back to Avery’s Music Notes

If you want to grow your music into more than a hobby, it will come down to 3 habits.

  1. Consistently make music. Each track is practice where you get better, and an asset you can use in multiple ways.
  2. Consistently share what you make somewhere. Youtube, Instagram, TikTok, Website, Soundcloud… pick anywhere.
  3. Consistently reach out to new people with no expectations of result. This grows your friends and allies.

If you do these things, you will create a situation where you will grow.

How could you not?

You are making music consistently and getting better at doing it.

You are putting what you make somewhere they can be found.

You are talking with people and sharing it with them.

When we boil away all the marketing speak and algorithms and jargon… it’s all just this.

Make.

Share.

Connect.

The only question is where and how you do these things: and if you can stick with it long enough for the results to come.

When you see this list, maybe it can help you see where you have opportunity to grow.

Take a moment now to brainstorm how you might apply these habits to your vision.
